Privacy policy

This Privacy Policy sets out our commitment to protecting the privacy of personal information provided to us or otherwise collected by us, whether offline or online, including through this website (Site). In this Privacy Policy, we, us or our means Patrowl SAS (Patrowl). When we collect, store and use your personal information, we do so in accordance with the rules set out in the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/279 (the GDPR).

Personal information

The types of personal information or personal data we may collect about you include:

  • your name ;

  • your contact details, including e-mail address, postal address, street address and/or telephone number;

  • your age and/or date of birth

  • demographic information, such as your zip code; and

  • any other personal information requested by us and/or provided by you or a third party. We may collect these types of personal information directly from you or from third parties.

  • Collection and use of personal information by other Patrowl SAS products

We may collect, store, use and disclose personal information for the following purposes:

  • to enable you to access and use our services or our customers' services, including for storage ;

  • to contact and communicate with you

  • for internal record keeping and administrative purposes; and

  • to comply with our legal obligations and resolve any disputes. Disclosure of personal information to third parties

We may disclose personal information to

  • third-party service providers in order to enable them to provide their services, including (but not limited to) IT service providers, data storage, web hosting and server providers, debt collectors, maintenance or troubleshooting service providers, marketing or advertising service providers, professional advisors and payment system operators ;

  • courts, tribunals, regulatory authorities and law enforcement officials, if required by law, in connection with any current or future legal proceedings, or in order to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights; and third parties responsible for collecting and - processing data, such as Google Analytics or other relevant companies. These parties may store data outside Europe, including in the United States.

Where we disclose your personal information to third parties, including data processors, we require or ensure that the third party processes your personal information in accordance with this privacy policy. The third party will only process your personal information in accordance with our written instructions and we require the third party to comply with the Privacy Shield Principles set out in the GDPR when transferring and processing personal information. When we refer to “processing” in this clause and in this privacy policy in general, we mean any operation or set of operations performed on personal information, whether or not by automated means, such as collecting, recording, organizing, structuring, storing, adapting or modifying, retrieving, consulting, using, disclosing by transmission, disseminating or otherwise making available personal information.

Please note that we use the following third parties to process your personal information: OVH France.

By providing us with personal information, you consent to the disclosure of your personal information to third parties located outside France and, if you are a citizen of the European Union (EU), to third parties located outside the EU.

Our responsibilities as a “processor” under the GDPR

Where we are a processor, we have contracts containing certain terms prescribed in our contracts with data controllers, including:

  • not using a processor without the data controller's prior written authorization ;

  • cooperate with the supervisory authorities;

  • ensure the security of its processing

  • keep a register of processing activities;

  • notify any personal data breach to the data controller; and

  • employ a data protection officer and appoint (in writing) a representative within the European Union if required by the RGPD. (These obligations are not currently required for the company).

Your rights and control over your personal information

Information from third parties: If we receive personal information about you from a third party, we will protect it as set out in this Privacy Policy. If you are a third party providing personal information about someone else, you represent and warrant that you have that person's consent to provide that personal information to us.

Complaints: If you believe that we have breached an article of the GDPR and would like to make a complaint, please contact us using the contact details below and provide us with full details of the alleged breach. We will promptly investigate your complaint and respond to you, in writing, with the results of our investigation and the steps we will take to address your complaint.

Storage and security

We are committed to ensuring the security of the personal information we collect. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures, such as pseudonymization and encryption of personal information, to safeguard and secure personal information and protect it from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorized access, modification and disclosure.

We cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to us or by us via the Internet. The transmission and exchange of information is at your own risk. Although we take measures to prevent unauthorized disclosure of information, we cannot guarantee that personal information we collect will not be disclosed in a manner inconsistent with this Privacy Policy.

Cookies and Web Beacons

We may occasionally use cookies on our website. Cookies are text files placed in your computer's browser to remember your preferences. By themselves, cookies do not provide us with your email address or other personally identifiable information. However, they enable third parties, such as Google and Facebook, to display our advertisements on your social media and online platforms as part of our retargeting campaigns. We may also occasionally use web beacons on our website. Web beacons (also known as "Clear GIFs") are small pieces of code placed on a webpage to monitor visitor behavior and collect data about how a webpage is viewed. Modifications

We may, at any time and at our discretion, modify this privacy policy. If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will notify you by using the contact details you have provided to us. Any changes to the privacy policy will take effect as soon as we inform you.
