Our story

The concept: from manual auditing to automated penetration testing

Awareness born of a real incident

Patrowl was born out of a three-month security audit carried out by our co-founders for an e-commerce site. The aim was to identify and correct vulnerabilities before they were exploited. Although no vulnerabilities were initially detected, the site was attacked a few weeks later, following the introduction of a vulnerable new feature.

An innovative response to constantly evolving threats

This incident highlighted a crucial reality: traditional security methods can no longer keep pace with the frenetic pace of digital developments, leaving companies exposed to new threats. Manual testing is no longer sufficient to counter these emerging dangers. That's why Patrowl was created: a solution that combines continuous monitoring and automated pentesting, enabling IT teams to be alerted in real time and correct vulnerabilities before they are exploited.

Success in numbers: growth, customers and talent since 2020

Since our launch in 2020, we have validated our MVP (Most Value Product), which has enabled us to sign several commercial successes (+60 customers), attract investors and quadruple our workforce. In four years, we've built up a talented team that's driving our success and growth.

Historically, our expertise in offensive cybersecurity stems from our consulting background. Our values are based on sharing, mutual aid and expertise. Tech

  • DevOps defines, implements and supervises all Cloud infrastructures supporting applications. The watchword is “resilience”. This requires a robust, scalable architecture, as well as massive automation of all recurring tasks.

  • Devs design and implement front/back-end applications. They are also involved in offensive operations, enabling them to gain a better understanding of our needs.

  • Pentesters use our vulnerability detection engine, keep abreast of the latest threats and continuously test our customers' assets.

Product Quality Department

  • Product Owners define functionality and prioritize requirements to ensure maximum value for our users. They work closely with all stakeholders to ensure that each delivery meets expectations and objectives.

  • The UX/UI Designer designs intuitive and engaging interfaces, putting the user at the heart of every decision. Their role is to balance aesthetics and functionality to deliver a fluid, impactful user experience.

  • The Quality Analyst ensures product quality by drawing up test plans, detecting anomalies, and guaranteeing a smooth, reliable experience. Thanks to this feedback, the team can continually improve applications.

Sales

  • BDR: Business Developer, responds to calls for tender and approaches potential prospects.

  • AE: Participates in events such as trade shows, prospecting and customer follow-up.

  • CSM: For customer follow-up

  • Coordination with marketing strategy

Marketing

  • Press, webinars, trade shows, events

  • Digital: website, newsletter, MQL, social networks
